BookWork is a database application designed to assist writers with the planning
of book authoring.
BookWork provides components to manage plans of chapters, characters, settings,
subplots, references and submissions to publishers.
BookWork also allows writers to manage their database of ideas for current and future
novels and scripts.

BookWork provides a range of components to assist with the planning, recording and
management of:
- Chapters: the opening/closing paragraphs and the summary of each chapter.
- Characters: the appearance and personality of characters, and sample conversation.
- Settings: their description, and the recording of locations of associated
graphic work.
- Subplots: their descriptions, and notes on how they are to be embedded.
- Notes: any items relating to another aspect of the plan.
- References: all bibliographical sources.
- Publisher Mailouts: the recording of items sent to various publishers.
- Importing Scripts: Managing the import of scripts from other copies of BookWork.
This is helpful for managing plans over multiple sites or for managing the plans
of a group of writers.

The full version of BookWork can be unlocked by purchasing a Single-User Licence.
Academic Licence
All schools, organisations or groups that wish to install BookWork throughout their
organisation should obtain an academic licence. Copies can be loaded on any machine
within the organisation as well as on home PC's.

BookWork was designed for use with Microsoft® Access 97 or later. In order
to run this application smoothly, you may need:
- Pentium PC or better (with mouse)
- 16MB RAM or higher (depending on your version of Microsoft® Access)
- SuperVGA monitor running at 800 x 600 pixel resolution, 16 colours or better
- Approx 25MB of free hard drive space (not including the space required for the Microsoft®
Office or Microsoft® Access).
You do need to:
- be running Microsoft® Windows® 95 or later
- have a copy of Microsoft® Access currently loaded on the computer.
NOTE: A (stand-alone) version of Minute Keeper can be purchased if you do not have
a copy of Microsoft® Access 97 or later installed on your computer. This version
DOES NOT however allow you to directly add or update user defined reports.
